Sophie is an experienced paediatric dietitian with over 12 years of expertise across many clinical areas. Her career spans major paediatric centres in Australia and the UK, and alongside her role at Complete Dietetics she also works as a Senior Paediatric Dietitian at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Sophie is highly regarded for her specialist clinical knowledge, her contributions to service development, and her ongoing commitment to educating and mentoring junior staff.
Sophie is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive and family-centred environment in every consultation. She listens deeply, collaborates closely with the care team, and uses thoughtful assessment and evidence-based strategies to develop nutrition plans that are practical, sustainable and individualised to each child and family. Her calm, compassionate approach ensures that families feel heard, understood and empowered to work towards meaningful nutrition and feeding goals.
Sophie has a particular passion for supporting children with feeding difficulties, neurodivergent children including those with ADHD and ASD, and families navigating complex or stressful mealtime environments. She is experienced in responsive feeding, ARFID, sensory-based feeding challenges and multidisciplinary feeding therapy.
Sophie also specialises in the following areas of paediatric nutrition;
Gastrointestinal conditions – including coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, reflux, constipation, chronic diarrhoea and complex GI presentations.
Ketogenic diet therapy for epilepsy.
Cystic fibrosis nutrition management.
Enteral tube feeding – including PEG/gastrostomy management, tube weaning support and long-term feeding plans.
General paediatrics – growth concerns, faltering growth, food allergies, infant feeding and micronutrient assessment.
Sophie works with infants, children and adolescents.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys running, pilates and being a member of her book club.
